Mid Level Qt Software Engineer - Remote Position

About the Role

Blue Sparq, Inc. is looking for a talented Mid Level Qt Software Engineer to join our innovative team. As a Mid Level Qt Software Engineer, you will work remotely to develop next-generation embedded software applications for intelligent, connected devices. This role is essential in merging hardware advancements with robust embedded software design, contributing to our mission of delivering cutting-edge solutions for the commercial kitchen and vending industries.

What You'll Do

• Develop Qt-based desktop and embedded applications using C++.
• Implement communication logic and device control features for intelligent devices.
• Collaborate with firmware and electrical engineers to ensure seamless integration.
• Support UI engineers in building embedded HMI applications.
• Conduct testing and system validation with real hardware to ensure quality and performance.
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for future reference.
• Occasionally travel for system integration and client meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field.
• 5+ years of software development experience, with at least 3 years focused on Qt.
• Strong proficiency in C++, Qt, and QML.
• Experience with Qt Creator, Git, and Embedded Linux.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and communication protocols like Modbus.
• Understanding of object-oriented design principles.
• Experience with JIRA and Agile methodologies.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments and adapt to changing requirements.

Nice to Have

• Debugging and optimizing C/C++ applications.
• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks.
• Working knowledge of UI/UX principles.
