Director of Manager Effectiveness - Remote Position

About the Role

We are seeking a Director of Manager Effectiveness to join our team in a fully remote capacity. This role is pivotal in ensuring that every manager at IDEA Public Schools is equipped with the necessary skills and tools to lead effectively. As the Director of Manager Effectiveness, you will design and implement training programs that translate leadership competencies into actionable management behaviors.

What You'll Do

• Design high-quality training programs and resources that teach managers how to apply IDEA’s leadership competencies in practical situations.
• Develop models and tools that assist managers in coaching, feedback, goal setting, and performance management.
• Own organization-wide implementation strategies to ensure competencies and rubrics are consistently applied across all teams.
• Create scalable, technology-enabled learning content using AI tools to deliver impactful learning experiences.
• Analyze data to identify gaps in manager practices and create targeted learning solutions.
• Collaborate with HR and other departments to embed competencies in onboarding and professional learning.
• Lead communication and training strategies to ensure clarity and consistency in new tool implementation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in talent development or organizational development.
• At least 2 years of experience managing a team.
• Proven experience in designing and facilitating adult learning programs.
• Experience implementing performance frameworks or leadership competencies.

Nice to Have

• Master’s Degree in a related field.
• Experience coaching senior leaders.
• Experience creating tech-enhanced professional learning programs.
