Director of Engineering - Decision Intelligence Platform

About the Role

We are seeking a Director of Engineering - Decision Intelligence Platform to join our team at AT&T. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead the development of an AI/ML-driven Decision Intelligence platform that enhances customer experiences. As a Director of Engineering - Decision Intelligence Platform remote professional, you will be at the forefront of innovation, driving the strategy and architecture of our platform.

What You’ll Do

• Set the vision and roadmap for an AI/ML-driven Decision Intelligence platform enabling Next Best Action (NBA) and Next Best Offer (NBO).
• Partner with Marketing, Product, Analytics, and Business leaders to prioritize high-impact use cases and deliver measurable outcomes.
• Define the reference architecture across event streaming, identity, feature store, MLOps, decision services, and activation.
• Build and lead a high-performing organization across software, data, ML, and analytics.
• Deliver core platform capabilities including batch/streaming pipelines, real-time signals ingestion, and decision engine integrations.
• Implement closed-loop measurement and optimization through experimentation and performance reporting.
• Own reliability and compliance, ensuring privacy-by-design and data integrity.

Requirements

• 15+ years in technology, including 8+ years leading cross-functional teams across engineering, data, and ML.
• Proven experience in building cloud-scale data platforms and integrating with MarTech ecosystems.
• Strong record of building high-performing teams and aligning business and technical stakeholders.
• Expertise in cloud-scale distributed systems and low-latency, high-throughput real-time decisioning.
• Hands-on experience with key stack components such as Adobe Experience Platform, Kafka, Snowflake, and Kubernetes.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI coding assistants to accelerate delivery while maintaining code quality.
• Familiarity with Agile/SAFe methodologies and modern engineering practices.
