Director of Clinical Operations - Remote Mental Health Services
About the Role
We are seeking a Director of Clinical Operations to join our mission-driven team at Spring Health, a leader in mental health services. This remote role is pivotal in shaping the strategic direction and operational excellence of our highest-acuity services, including our 24/7 Mental Health Crisis Line and Critical Incident Response programs. As a key player in our organization, you will ensure that our clinical operations are not only efficient but also deliver high-quality care tailored to the needs of our clients.
What You'll Do
- Own the end-to-end performance of Spring Health’s 24/7 Crisis Line and related services, ensuring they meet the highest standards of clinical quality.
- Translate enterprise customer needs into scalable clinical operating models, enhancing service delivery and member experience.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Care Support, Customer Success, and other teams to drive continuous improvement.
- Represent crisis services in executive forums and customer conversations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Oversee clinical safety and compliance, implementing best practices across all programs.
- Lead a multi-layered clinical leadership team, fostering a culture of accountability and clinical excellence.
- Manage operational performance metrics, including workforce planning and service levels, to optimize efficiency.
- Utilize data to identify trends, mitigate risks, and improve overall performance.
Requirements
- 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in behavioral health, crisis services, or high-acuity clinical operations.
- Direct experience leading 24/7 clinical operations with oversight of large frontline teams (100+ FTEs).
- Active independent clinical license (e.g., LCSW, LMFT, PsyD) with expertise in trauma-related disorders preferred.
- Strong operational acumen, including KPI management and cost optimization.
- Proven ability to lead through change in fast-scaling environments.
- Executive presence with the ability to effectively partner with customers.
- Willingness to travel 5–10% as needed.
