Director of Benefits - Remote Opportunity with Relocation Support
About the Role
We are seeking a highly qualified Director of Benefits to join our community hospital system. This remote Director of Benefits position offers a unique opportunity to lead the design, implementation, administration, and communication of our comprehensive benefits programs. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with IRS and ERISA regulations while supervising consulting firms, brokers, and trustees.
What You'll Do
- Oversee the management of benefits operations, including the implementation of health and welfare benefit plans, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives.
- Ensure all benefit programs comply with relevant regulations and standards.
- Lead a team of professionals to achieve aggressive business goals and objectives.
- Utilize HRIS databases to manage and analyze benefits data effectively.
- Design and evaluate benefit plans, including health, pension, and insurance plans.
- Develop and implement wellness programs that promote employee health and satisfaction.
- Manage multiple priorities and escalate issues when necessary.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to enhance the benefits offerings.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, HR Management, or a related discipline; Master's degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in benefits management within a complex healthcare system.
- Certification in HR-related areas such as CBP or CEBS is preferred.
- Proven management skills with the ability to lead and develop a professional team.
- Experience with COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, and healthcare reform laws.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with HRIS databases.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Experience in wellness plan development and implementation is desirable.
