DevOps Technical Lead - Remote Opportunity in the UK

About the Role

We are seeking a DevOps Technical Lead to join our dynamic team at Nearform. This is a permanent full-time remote opportunity for professionals based in the UK. As a DevOps Technical Lead, you will play a crucial role in leading development teams and collaborating with clients to translate complex business requirements into innovative digital products.

What You'll Do

• Provide technical and line-management leadership to your team, ensuring successful project delivery.
• Identify and resolve blockers before they escalate into issues, maintaining project momentum.
• Uphold best practices in software development, DevOps, and agile methodologies within the team.
• Work directly with clients, translating their requirements into technical briefs that guide development.
• Shape and define architectural decisions to ensure scalability, security, and maintainability of applications.
• Provide regular updates to clients and Nearform leadership, ensuring clear communication of project status.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering experience as a Senior Engineer or Technical Lead, with a proven track record of leading projects and mentoring team members.
• Extensive DevOps experience, particularly with AWS.
• Experience in client-facing roles, understanding technical requirements and delivering solutions.
• Deep understanding of agile methodologies, best practices, and design patterns.
• Proficiency in test-driven development and testing best practices.
• Familiarity with version control tools, especially Git.
• Understanding of operational concerns, including monitoring, performance testing, security, accessibility, and GDPR compliance.
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, OWASP, and PCI DSS.
