DevOps Engineer - AWS & Python (Relocation Support)
About the Role
We are currently seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer remote to join our team. This position offers a competitive annual salary of up to $180,000 and includes paid relocation assistance. As a DevOps Engineer remote, you will play a crucial role in automating manual processes, supporting the deployment of microservices, and maintaining mission-critical systems.
What You'll Do
- Automate manual processes using Python, PowerShell, and other scripting tools to improve operational efficiency.
- Support the deployment and management of microservices within a DevSecOps pipeline in a multi-tenant Windows and Linux environment.
- Develop, update, and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipeline code to streamline deployment workflows.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and deploy Docker containers to support various environments.
- Review code within Git repositories and create comprehensive engineering documentation.
- Provide technical guidance and support for all capabilities and microservices, ensuring best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system sustainment and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct security remediation activities based on scan results to ensure system security and compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline.
- At least four years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with a minimum of two years of experience.
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance with the ability to obtain SCI access post-hire.
- Certification in CompTIA Security+ CE or an equivalent security credential.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Microsoft PowerShell and Python.
- 2-3 years of recent experience managing Kubernetes infrastructure, preferably with OpenShift or EKS.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services such as CloudFormation, S3, ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, and autoscaling.
- Experience developing and managing CI/CD pipelines.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with team collaboration tools like Jira, Confluence, and RocketChat.
- Understanding of custom code development, code reviews, and error troubleshooting.
