About the Role

We're hiring a Senior Google Cloud Data Engineer to join our innovative team at PlanBnext. As a Senior Google Cloud Data Engineer remote, you will be instrumental in solving real pipeline, storage, and analytics challenges in live production environments. This role offers the unique opportunity to work on your schedule, resolving technical issues as they arise, and getting paid per ticket resolved.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement data pipelines using Google Cloud technologies such as BigQuery, Dataflow, and Pub/Sub.
• Optimize data storage and management strategies, ensuring efficient data lifecycle policies and access controls.
• Utilize Looker for business intelligence, including dashboard design and embedded analytics.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production issues using Cloud Monitoring and Logging tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity and accessibility.

Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in Google Cloud data engineering.
• Proven experience in real production troubleshooting, not just certifications.
• Strong written communication skills in English.
• Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer certification is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively.

Nice to Have

• Experience with ETL/ELT workflows and data warehouse optimization.
• Familiarity with Cloud Composer and Dataproc.
• Knowledge of data governance and security best practices.
