About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Deputy Manager (Learning Disabilities) to join our team at Southdown. This remote opportunity allows you to support individuals with learning disabilities, helping them lead fulfilling lives. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing staff performance and ensuring the highest standards of care.
What You'll Do
- Support the Service Manager in developing an excellent team and maintaining good practice.
- Oversee staff performance, training compliance, and disciplinary procedures.
- Assist clients with daily living tasks, including personal care and medication management.
- Participate in client referrals, assessments, and care plan updates to ensure clients receive the right support.
- Manage operational budgets and resource allocation to meet client needs effectively.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a management role within a Learning Disabilities service or care home.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, risk management, and health and safety protocols.
- A passion for leading teams and providing outstanding care.
- Ability to ensure compliance with CQC standards and prepare for inspections.
- Full manual driving license and access to transport for travel between services.
Nice to Have
- Experience managing a learning disabilities service with a good CQC rating.
- Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
