Database Administrator - PostgreSQL Focus (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Database Administrator with PostgreSQL experience to join our team at Northrop Grumman. This remote role offers the chance to work on revolutionary systems that impact lives globally. As a Database Administrator, you will play a crucial role in supporting our mission at the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC).

What You'll Do

• Manage and maintain PostgreSQL databases and ensure their performance, security, and availability.
• Collaborate with Systems, Network, and Storage Administrators to support multiple networks, including both Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Develop and implement database backup and recovery strategies.
• Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand their database needs and provide effective solutions.

Requirements

• Active Department of Defense Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information security clearance.
• IAT Level II certification such as SecurityX or Security+.
• 3 years of PostgreSQL or Oracle administration experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math discipline with 2 years of related experience.
• Strong knowledge of Windows or Linux environments and systems administration.

Nice to Have

• Experience with MongoDB, ArangoDB, or similar database technologies.
• Familiarity with DevOps architecture such as Kubernetes, Nexus, Harbor, Docker, and GitLab.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash, Python, Perl, or PowerShell.
