Cyber Security Engineer III - Remote Opportunity with Relocation

About the Role

We're seeking a Cyber Security Engineer III remote to join our global cyber security team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to relocate to the Cayman Islands while working with cutting-edge technologies like Microsoft Sentinel and Microsoft Defender XDR. As a hands-on engineer, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our detection capabilities, automating security operations, and fortifying the organization’s security posture across enterprise cloud and hybrid environments.

What You'll Do

• Lead the implementation and management of Microsoft Sentinel, focusing on SIEM engineering, analytics rules, and workbooks.
• Utilize Microsoft Defender XDR to enhance endpoint, identity, and cloud application security.
• Develop detection strategies aligned with the MITRE ATT&CK framework, ensuring robust threat detection.
• Automate SIEM processes using Azure Logic Apps and Sentinel playbooks to improve operational efficiency.
• Optimize incident response and SOC operations while mentoring junior analysts.

Requirements

• Proven experience with Microsoft Sentinel and Defender XDR.
• Strong understanding of detection engineering using KQL.
• Experience in security monitoring, alert tuning, and incident response.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and Azure security controls.
• Excellent documentation skills for runbooks and SOC processes.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of Microsoft Purview and DLP.
• Experience with Intune and endpoint security management.
• Understanding of Zero Trust security architecture.
• Relevant certifications such as SC-200, AZ-500, CISSP, or GIAC.
