Cyber Security Analyst - Remote Opportunity
About the Role
We are seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to join our team remotely. In this role, you will support the Special Technologies Laboratory (STL) in delivering innovative national security solutions. As a Cyber Security Analyst remote, you will work on complex cybersecurity challenges, contributing to our mission of ensuring the security of the United States and its allies.
What You'll Do
- Develop new and unique data-driven solutions to complex technical problems.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments of industrial control systems (ICS), SCADA systems, and networked instrumentation.
- Perform configuration reviews and protocol analysis, including Modbus and DNP3.
- Identify weaknesses in firmware and network architectures.
- Collaborate with scientists and engineers to integrate cybersecurity architectures.
- Support the development of sensor-based anomaly detection systems.
- Analyze discrepancies between digital telemetry and physical measurements.
- Maintain cybersecurity tooling using Python and C.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Cybersecurity or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python and C programming languages.
- Strong interest in industrial control systems and cybersecurity principles.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in excess of 40 hours per week if required.
Nice to Have
- Experience with embedded systems and incident response.
- Familiarity with attack surface mapping techniques.
- Knowledge of emerging threats to critical infrastructure.
