Construction Project Commissioning Manager - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

As a Construction Project Commissioning Manager, you will work on a team delivering a hyperscale data center. This remote role involves direct accountability for project quality and commissioning, ensuring all deliverables of construction projects are completed on time. You will manage all commissioning and quality control related projects at the site where you will be assigned, including expansions, modifications, retrofits, and new technology-driven projects!

What You’ll Do

• Manage site-based quality control & quality assurance programs, ensuring the General Contractor (GC) executes on this program effectively.
• Lead the commissioning program and strategically integrate with Google’s Operations team to deliver program goals and deliverables.
• Create, update, and maintain project-specific quality control reports and submittal logs.
• Review shop drawings and submittals for conformance with project specifications.
• Chair and document weekly quality control meetings with site superintendents and QC managers.
• Provide written daily QC reports that reinforce activities being constructed in conformance with project standards.
• Conduct periodic follow-up inspections to verify that work is proceeding according to contract documents and approved submittals.
• Document final inspections and acceptance of works in various project phases.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree preferred with 8-10 years of relevant experience in construction management.
• Innovative mentality to develop methods that go beyond existing solutions.
• Ability to solve unique problems using standard and innovative solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Expert organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.

Nice to Have

• Experience with BIM 360 and other project management software.
• Strong communication skills for liaising with various stakeholders.
• Knowledge of safety programs and practices in construction environments.
