About the Role

We are excited to announce an opening for a Commis Chef remote position at Rick Stein Restaurants in Padstow. This is a fantastic opportunity for those at the beginning of their culinary journey to work in a vibrant kitchen environment. As a Commis Chef remote, you will be part of a dedicated team passionate about delivering exceptional seafood dishes and learning from experienced chefs.

What You'll Do

• Support the kitchen team in delivering high-quality dishes consistently.
• Prepare fresh ingredients to specification and high standards.
• Learn and work across different sections of the kitchen.
• Follow recipes, food safety, and hygiene standards at all times.
• Assist with stock rotation, deliveries, and general kitchen organization.
• Work closely with senior chefs to develop your skills and confidence.

Requirements

• A passion for food and a genuine interest in cooking.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a busy kitchen.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in your work.
• Basic kitchen experience or catering qualification is helpful, but not essential.
• A team player who is reliable, enthusiastic, and hardworking.

• Knowledge of various cooking techniques.
• Ability to adapt to different kitchen sections quickly.
