About the Role

We’re seeking a Cloud Engineer for Autonomous Vehicles to join our team at General Motors. As a Cloud Engineer remote, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of mobility through advanced self-driving and electric vehicle technologies. What You'll Do

• Design and implement scalable distributed computing and data processing solutions in the cloud using GCP or Azure.
• Take ownership of technical projects from inception to completion, contributing to the product roadmap and making informed decisions on major technical trade-offs.
• Engage in team planning, code reviews, and design discussions, considering the impact of projects across multiple teams.
• Conduct technical interviews and mentor engineers and interns, fostering a culture of growth and knowledge sharing.
• Utilize your expertise in Python, C++, and Golang to build scalable infrastructure on the cloud.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in large-scale distributed systems.
• 1+ years of experience leading large-scale initiatives.
• Proficiency in cloud technologies, particularly GCP, Azure, or AWS.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• A Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.

Nice to Have

• Experience with open-source orchestration platforms such as Kubeflow, Flyte, or Airflow.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes.
• Understanding of Machine Learning (ML) models and pipelines.
