About the Role
We are hiring a CI/CD Pipeline Engineer remote to join our innovative team at PlanBnext. In this role, you will be instrumental in resolving real-world technical challenges in a dynamic DevOps environment modeled after JPMorgan Chase's enterprise toolchain. This position offers a unique pay-per-ticket structure, allowing you to earn based on the complexity of the issues you resolve.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines in large-scale enterprise environments.
- Work with managed Jenkins pipelines including Groovy-based Jenkinsfiles and shared libraries.
- Handle multi-environment deployments across Development, QA, Certification, and Production.
- Automate build and deployment processes for Java, JavaScript, and mobile applications.
- Integrate pipelines with version control systems (Git, Bitbucket, GitHub).
- Manage build tools — Maven, Gradle, ANT — across application stacks.
- Enforce compliance, security scanning, and automated testing within pipelines.
- Support container-based deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Troubleshoot pipeline failures, latency issues, and release blockers.
- Resolve tickets via live chat, call, or screen-sharing sessions.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins (Managed Pipelines, Shared Libraries, Groovy / Jenkinsfile).
- Familiarity with Git / Bitbucket / GitHub (branching strategies, PR pipelines).
- Proficiency in build tools like Maven / Gradle / ANT.
- Experience with Docker & Kubernetes (containerization and orchestration).
- Understanding of CI/CD pipeline design across multi-environment SDLC (Dev, QA, Cert, Prod).
Nice to Have
- Experience with GitHub Actions, Spinnaker, Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet (IaC).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Knowledge of Shell, Python, or Perl scripting.
- Experience with observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack.
- Understanding of compliance-integrated pipeline frameworks (DevSecOps).
