Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Hospice Care (Remote)
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our hospice care team. This remote position allows you to provide compassionate care to patients in need while working from the comfort of your home. As a CNA in hospice care, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for patients and their families.
What You'll Do
- Report perceived changes in patient conditions to the registered nurse.
- Perform essential household services to support health care at home.
- Lift, move, and transport patients safely using proper body mechanics or lifting devices.
- Remind clients to take medications and deliver medication refills as directed by the licensed nurse.
- Conduct simple diagnostic activities, including taking vital signs and collecting specimens as outlined in the care plan.
- Assist with activities of daily living as specified in the care plan.
- Provide social interaction and reassurance to clients and their families.
- Document the care provided in the patient record accurately.
Requirements
- Must possess a valid CNA license in the state of Texas.
- At least 1 year of clinical experience, preferably in Home Health or Hospice.
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
Nice to Have
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR).
- Certification in Hospice and Palliative Care (CHPN).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
