Head of Technology - Strategic Leadership Role

About the Role

We are seeking a Head of Technology - Remote to provide strategic, operational, and technical leadership across Technology and Change at MUFG Pension & Market Services. This role is critical to delivering our UK business growth ambitions, including pensions administration expansion, new market entry, and faster product innovation, while ensuring our platforms remain resilient, modern, and scalable.

What You'll Do

• Drive growth and new product enablement by building and acquiring technology capabilities that directly support UK growth.
• Partner with Product, Growth, and Client Delivery teams to enable faster time to market, stronger product evolution, and disciplined delivery.
• Modernize core application estate and address resilience challenges across IT, ensuring platform development aligns with Group technology standards.
• Integrate delivery across Technology, Change, and Transformation functions, ensuring effective governance and reporting.
• Strengthen resource planning transparency and cost management to support improved forecasting and revenue tracking.
• Lead multi-disciplinary programme, project, and technical delivery teams across the full change lifecycle.
• Shape the UK digital and applications strategy in partnership with regional and global stakeholders.
• Establish frameworks for API, microservices, and modern engineering practices.

Requirements

• Proven leadership of multi-disciplinary technical and delivery teams.
• Strong strategic-thinking capability with the ability to translate business goals into clear technical outcomes.
• Deep experience in modern product platform engineering and practices.
• Excellent senior stakeholder engagement across business, commercial, and global functions.
• Strong financial acumen in budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization.
• Experience in or exposure to pensions administration, regulated products, or financial services is preferred.
