Business Intelligence Software Engineer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Business Intelligence Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at DEINZER + WEYLAND. This remote position offers an exciting opportunity to enhance our BI solutions based on Microsoft Azure, collaborating closely with various departments to optimize data models and reporting tools.

What You'll Do

• Develop and optimize our BI solutions leveraging Microsoft Azure.
• Implement and enhance data models in close collaboration with business units.
• Connect data sources via Azure Data Factory, including pipelines, datasets, and triggers.
• Prepare and provide all data for Power BI as a central reporting tool.
• Support departments with ad-hoc queries and data analyses.
• Advance the multi-tier DWH structure (Staging, Core DWH, Datamarts) and contribute to architectural design.
• Deploy solutions using Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, complemented by automation using Python and Node.js.
• Work independently in a highly motivated and dynamic team environment.

Requirements

• Completed degree in (Business) Informatics or a comparable qualification.
• Strong SQL skills (SQL Server) with a passion for complex queries.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory (pipelines, datasets, triggers) and ETL processes.
• Basic understanding of DWH architecture (Staging, Core, Datamarts).
• Familiarity with Power BI and basic knowledge of Python or Node.js is advantageous.
• Solution-oriented work style, communicative, and reliable in both German and English.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Slowly Changing Dimensions (including SCD2).
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps.
