Bioprocess Associate - Shift (Remote Opportunity)

About the Role

We are seeking a Bioprocess Associate - Shift to join our dynamic team at PSC Biotech. This remote opportunity allows you to work in a leading Biotech Consultancy firm, contributing to innovative drug substance manufacturing processes. As a Bioprocess Associate, you will play a crucial role in our state-of-the-art vaccine facility, ensuring compliance with cGMP standards and contributing to the success of our projects.

What You'll Do

• Manufacture processes including Downstream Processing (DSP) and Upstream Processing (USP).
• Carry out production operations in accordance with relevant SOPs and Manufacturing Batch Records.
• Assist in maintaining a safety-oriented culture and a cGMP compliant work environment.
• Write, review, and revise area SOPs, On the Job Training (OJT), and Production Batch Records.
• Train and mentor colleagues in SOPs, process execution, and equipment operation.
• Support the Manufacturing team to consistently meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Engage in the investigation of operational deviations through the Quality System.
• Lead and actively participate in shift handovers, liaising with the Shift Lead regarding production area issues.
• Utilize Lean Tools to optimize efficiency and drive a culture of Continuous Improvement.
• Support HAZOP and risk assessments as required.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in Bioprocessing, either Upstream or Downstream.
• Knowledge of cGMP, safety, and environmental regulations in the biopharmaceutical industry.
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and champion change.
• Experience with real-time information recording using electronic or manual systems.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a self-managed shift team.
• Experience in Grade C, D, and CNC environments is an advantage.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Familiarity with vaccine drug substance manufacturing.
• Previous experience in a biotech or pharmaceutical setting.
