About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Beverage Shift Manager to join our team at Graton Resort & Casino. In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of our beverage service, ensuring that we provide exceptional service to our guests while maximizing beverage revenue. This Beverage Shift Manager remote position allows you to contribute to our values and redefine hospitality in a supportive environment.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and supervise beverage department Team Members, ensuring they deliver friendly and efficient service.
  • Monitor and coordinate activities during shifts, responding promptly to guest requests and concerns.
  • Implement and suggest improvements to policies and procedures to enhance service quality.
  • Promote responsible alcohol service in compliance with local and federal laws.
  • Ensure Beverage Team Members exceed Graton Guest Service Standards.
  • Plan and schedule beverage activities for the shift as directed by management.
  • Circulate through all bar areas to ensure timely beverage service and adherence to protocols.
  • Collaborate with IT and engineering to maintain beverage equipment and systems.
  • Practice safety rules and ensure cleanliness in all beverage areas.
  • Conduct regular communications with Team Members and management to address concerns and relay information.
  • Interview, hire, and train new Team Members, ensuring they meet training standards.
  • Evaluate job performance and hold Team Members accountable for their duties.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience in beverage management or a similar role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Knowledge of responsible alcohol service and compliance with health regulations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle guest concerns effectively.
  • Experience in training and developing team members.
  • Proficient in problem-solving and decision-making.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in a casino or hospitality environment.
  • Familiarity with beverage equipment and maintenance.
  • Certification in alcohol service training.
