About the Role

We are seeking a talented Backend Software Engineer (AI, InsurTech) remote to join our rapidly growing team. This role offers the opportunity to work on foundational infrastructure and AI-driven components that power mission-critical workflows in the InsurTech industry.

What You'll Do

  • Design and scale core backend systems and architecture.
  • Build and ship production-grade Python services.
  • Own infrastructure, databases (PostgreSQL, vector databases), and system design decisions.
  • Develop and maintain APIs (REST/GraphQL).
  • Work across cloud environments (GCP/AWS) and containerized systems (Docker).
  • Contribute to hiring and scaling the engineering team.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of backend development experience (Python-focused).
  • Strong systems thinking and problem-solving ability.
  • Experience designing scalable architectures and working with relational and vector databases.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and modern API design.
  • High agency and comfort operating in early-stage, fast-moving environments.
  • Background in high-performance or technically rigorous environments is a plus.

  • Experience with machine learning frameworks.
