Backend Developer Intern - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are excited to announce an opening for a Backend Developer Intern to join our team remotely. This internship is perfect for students or entry-level candidates who are passionate about backend development and eager to gain hands-on experience in a professional setting. As a Backend Developer Intern, you will work closely with experienced developers to build and maintain backend applications, develop APIs, and contribute to cloud-based solutions.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain backend applications using Python.
• Build and consume RESTful APIs to enhance application functionality.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code to ensure maintainability.
• Assist in database design and optimization for improved performance.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and fix software defects as they arise.
• Support automation scripts and data processing pipelines to streamline workflows.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to code reviews.
• Assist in deploying applications in cloud environments such as AWS and Azure.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related STEM field.
• Strong understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms.
• Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
• Basic understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience with Python and related frameworks (Django, Flask, FastAPI) is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Prior internship or academic project experience using Python.
• Experience building APIs or backend services.
• Exposure to cloud deployment and microservices architecture.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
