About the Role

We are excited to announce an opening for an Azure Site Reliability Engineering & Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our team at Systems Technology Group, Inc. This remote position offers you the chance to work with a leading company recognized for its excellence in IT services and consulting. As an Azure Site Reliability Engineer, you will play a critical role in migrating on-prem applications to the cloud and maintaining cloud applications, ensuring their reliability and performance.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the migration of on-prem applications to Azure Cloud, utilizing infrastructure as code principles.
  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for seamless application deployment.
  • Set up monitoring and alerting solutions to ensure optimal application performance.
  • Provide L3 support for production incidents, ensuring quick resolution and minimal downtime.
  • Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and fix bugs, enhancing application reliability.
  • Support the DevOps lifecycle by managing suppliers and ensuring IT service delivery.
  • Conduct proof of concepts (POC) with new technology solutions recommended by architects.
  • Guide developers and QA engineers on best practices for utilizing the software environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Azure Cloud, DevOps, and Site Reliability Engineering.
  • Proficiency in setting up and managing Azure environments using Terraform.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions and FluxCD.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies like Kubernetes.
  • Strong understanding of monitoring solutions, including Azure Monitor and Datadog.
  • Knowledge of security and compliance practices relevant to cloud environments.
  • Certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert and Azure DevOps Engineer Expert are highly desirable.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service and Azure FrontDoor.
  • Familiarity with Jira and Confluence for project management.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Cloud Security Benchmark and related security tools.
