Automation OT Project Engineer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

Join us as our Automation OT Project Engineer in a remote capacity at Takeda, a leader in biopharmaceuticals. This role is pivotal in defining and delivering strategies for our operational technology (OT) infrastructure and cybersecurity initiatives.

What You'll Do

  • Lead OT automation projects from concept to commissioning, ensuring alignment with operational needs.
  • Define project objectives, schedules, budgets, and resource requirements for automation initiatives.
  • Coordinate and motivate cross-functional stakeholders, including automation, IT, production, and maintenance teams.
  • Oversee lifecycle management of OT equipment and systems, ensuring production continuity and compliance with industry standards.
  • Implement and maintain upgrade and patch strategies across operating systems, applications, and OT devices.
  • Author and review engineering documentation, including functional and design specifications.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing performance and reliability of OT systems.
  • Collaborate closely with production teams to ensure solutions meet operational requirements.

Requirements

  • Industrial IT/Automation OT degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, chemical, or food industry.
  • Strong knowledge of OT environments and their interactions with IT systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft tools and expertise in Windows configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Experience in lifecycle management and upgrading strategies for automation systems.
  • Knowledge of industrial standards, OT cybersecurity, and engineering best practices.
  • Fluency in French and English.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Linux, Armis, and NinjaOne.
  • Strong project management capabilities, including planning and risk management.
