Automated Test Engineer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Automated Test Engineer to join our dynamic team in a remote capacity. This role offers a unique opportunity to work within the airline crewing industry, where you will contribute to systems that ensure crew safety and efficiency. As an Automated Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, creating, executing, and maintaining automated tests that are essential for our product's success.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement automated tests to ensure software quality.
• Create comprehensive test documents and monitor test execution.
• Collect metrics, identify coverage gaps, and apply necessary corrections.
• Consult with development engineers and business analysts to resolve testing issues.
• Participate in knowledge sharing and contribute to team improvement.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of Java and solid understanding of OOP principles.
• Experience in functional and non-functional testing.
• Familiarity with JIRA or another bug tracking tool.
• Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle, particularly SCRUM/Kanban methodologies.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills with effective English communication abilities.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Behavior Driven Development (BDD).
• Knowledge of SQL and web technologies such as REST, SOAP, XML, and JSON.
• Familiarity with databases like MongoDB and Oracle.
• User knowledge of Maven and Git.
• Experience working in global and distributed teams.
