About the Role

We are seeking an Associate Manufacturing Engineer Level 1/2 to join our team at Northrop Grumman. This remote position offers you the chance to work on revolutionary systems that impact people's lives around the world. As an Associate Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our high-volume production environment.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate within an Integrated Product Team (IPT) to develop and implement process improvements.
  • Work closely with manufacturing personnel in the highly automated production of composite aerospace components.
  • Author, modify, and audit shop floor electronic work instructions (EWIs).
  • Perform root cause and corrective action (RCCA) activities to eliminate defects.
  • Troubleshoot production/equipment/program/tooling issues and implement improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) for Level 1 or Level 2.
  • 0-1 year of experience in Manufacturing, Quality, Production, Industrial, Process, Mechanical, Aerospace, or Aeronautics.
  • Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with composite manufacturing.
  • Working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Experience using NX or similar CAD software.
