Associate Director of Programmatic Account Management - EMEA
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Associate Director of Programmatic Account Management to join Samba TV, a leader in the AdTech industry. This role is pivotal as you will lead and scale our Programmatic Account Management team across the EMEA region. As an Associate Director of Programmatic Account Management, you will be responsible for overseeing client relationships, driving revenue retention, and ensuring the successful execution of our programmatic audience products. What You'll Do
- Lead the Programmatic Account Management team, ensuring effective management and growth of client accounts.
- Drive programmatic revenue retention and expansion by collaborating closely with the Sales team throughout the campaign lifecycle.
- Act as a strategic advisor to EMEA clients and agencies, addressing complex account issues and fostering strong relationships.
- Build and develop a high-performing team of Programmatic Account Managers, focusing on headcount planning and performance management.
- Apply hands-on programmatic trading knowledge to mentor your team on campaign setup, optimization strategies, and troubleshooting across DSPs, SSPs, and DMPs.
- Evaluate and manage relationships with DSP, SSP, and DMP partners to ensure effective activation of Samba's audience products.
- Collaborate with Revenue, Product, and Measurement teams to gather client feedback and inform product roadmap priorities.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in programmatic advertising, with at least 5 years in leadership roles managing teams in ad operations, programmatic solutions, or client success.
- 3+ years of quota-carrying or revenue-accountable experience, demonstrating a proven track record of growing client accounts.
- Experience managing multi-market or international teams, with a deep understanding of regional nuances in EMEA programmatic buying.
- Ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels, comfortable in leadership discussions as well as addressing campaign delivery issues.
- Direct hands-on experience executing programmatic campaigns, including trafficking and optimization within DSPs such as The Trade Desk, DV360, or Xandr.
- Strong knowledge of the programmatic ecosystem, including DSPs, SSPs, DMPs, ad servers, and audience data products.
- Proficiency in analytical tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, Databricks, and BI tools like PowerBI or Tableau.
- Familiarity with CRM tools like Salesforce and project management tools such as Jira.
- Up-to-date on trends in digital advertising, including CTV, programmatic video, identity resolution, and audience measurement methodologies.
