AI Engineer - Autonomous Trading Research Systems

About the Role

We are seeking an AI Engineer to join our team in developing autonomous trading research systems. This AI Engineer remote position offers a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of agentic AI and quantitative finance, directly impacting live trading systems and real capital.

What You'll Do

• Build and iterate on components for agent-based trading research systems.
• Develop LLM-driven workflows that generate and refine trading strategies.
• Orchestrate AI coding agents and automation pipelines.
• Run multiple experiments and small projects in parallel, including tools, pipelines, and modules.
• Collaborate closely with trading and engineering teams to translate ideas into effective systems.
• Leverage frontier AI tools to maximize output and speed.

Requirements

• Experience or equivalent hands-on project work in AI.
• Strong evidence of high output, such as GitHub activity and shipped projects.
• Hands-on experience using LLMs, AI development tools, or coding agents in real workflows.
• High agency: ownership and quick execution are essential.
• Fast learner, comfortable navigating evolving tools and stacks.
• Low ego, highly collaborative, and adaptable.
• Basic familiarity with Python, data workflows, or engineering concepts is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Experience with OpenAI, Claude, and frontier LLM APIs.
• Familiarity with agent orchestration frameworks.
• Experience with AI-assisted coding tools and workflows.
• Knowledge of data pipelines and experimentation tooling.
