AI Architect - Remote Position

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced AI Architect to join our team in a fully remote capacity. As an AI Architect, you will define the long-term technical vision for AI within our organization, ensuring that AI systems are designed, structured, and scaled effectively. This role is crucial for establishing reusable patterns and design principles that enable teams to build AI solutions consistently and efficiently.

What You'll Do

• Design and deliver standard AI system blueprints, including agentic loops, RAG pipelines, and human-in-the-loop systems.
• Establish internal platforms, SDKs, and pattern libraries that teams can leverage to avoid reinventing the wheel.
• Map unstructured business problems to AI-native solutions, ensuring the right tools are applied to the right challenges.
• Run discovery workshops and design sprints to identify the best AI approaches before committing to solutions.
• Define AI governance standards, including model versioning policies and prompt lifecycle management.
• Establish architectural constraints and quality bars that apply to all AI products across the organization.
• Design long-lived evaluation frameworks that track quality over time, ensuring continuous improvement of AI systems.
• Translate multi-year business strategies into a phased AI architecture roadmap.

Requirements

• 8–12+ years of overall engineering experience, with at least 3 years focused on AI/ML architecture.
• Proven portfolio of AI systems that have been in production for over a year, showcasing maintenance and evolution.
• Experience designing AI solutions that span multiple teams or business units.
• Strong systems thinking ability to understand how today's decisions impact future architecture.
• Excellent storytelling skills to communicate complex architectures in an engaging manner.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback (RLHF).
• Familiarity with active learning techniques and preference data collection.
• Knowledge of governance and compliance standards in AI.
