Accounts Payable Manager - Remote Position

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager remote to join our team at Community Health Systems (CHS). In this vital role, you will oversee a large and diverse accounts payable function, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance while supporting our mission to provide quality healthcare. As an Accounts Payable Manager remote, you will lead a team of professionals dedicated to maintaining high standards in invoice processing, payments, and compliance.

What You'll Do

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounts payable professionals, setting performance goals and conducting evaluations.
• Supervise the end-to-end accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
• Implement and monitor controls to prevent errors and fraud in the accounts payable function.
• Oversee the administration of corporate travel cards and PCARDS, addressing discrepancies and unauthorized charges.
• Manage the automation of accounts payable processes, collaborating with IT and ERP specialists to optimize Oracle Cloud ERP integration.
• Support internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation related to accounts payable transactions.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance operational efficiency.
• Maintain effective relationships with vendors, addressing issues related to payments and invoices.

Requirements

• Associate Degree required; Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in accounts payable required.
• 2-4 years in a management or leadership role preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas and data manipulation.
• Experience with automation tools and Oracle Cloud ERP preferred.
• Strong leadership and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Healthcare industry experience preferred.

Nice to Have

• Experience with financial compliance and auditing processes.
• Knowledge of sales and use tax compliance.
• Familiarity with expense management systems.
