Accounting Specialist - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are looking for an Accounting Specialist remote to join our team at Graphite, a technology-enabled growth agency. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a rapidly expanding startup and play a crucial role in overseeing essential accounting functions. As an Accounting Specialist remote, you will help enhance processes during a critical growth period, ensuring financial continuity and operational excellence.

What You'll Do

• Prepare monthly financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies to maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information, ensuring completeness and accuracy of data.
• Review payroll and new approvals to ensure compliance with company policies.
• Assist in the financial close process and accounts payable processing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in financial close and accounts payable processing.
• Experience with US GAAP accounting standards.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Accounts Payable Software (e.g., Coupa).
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office Outlook, Excel, and Google Spreadsheets.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong numeracy skills.
• Effective English communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation).
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
