Accounting Associate - Remote Position

About the Role

We are seeking an Accounting Associate to support day-to-day accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records across multiple entities. This Accounting Associate remote position plays a key part in transaction processing, reconciliations, and monthly close activities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while working remotely.

What You'll Do

• Record and post daily financial transactions, including journal entries, vendor invoices, cash receipts, and expense reports.
• Perform daily cash reconciliations across multiple bank accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Support the monthly close process, including accruals, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records to ensure audit readiness.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Collaborate with operations and purchasing teams to ensure proper expense coding and timing.
• Prepare supporting schedules for balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports.
• Support audits and provide documentation to external auditors and tax advisors.
• Contribute to process improvements and internal control enhancements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience with SQL is a plus.
