Account Executive - Remote Sales for Food Marketplace
About the Role
We're hiring an Account Executive to join our team at Saltz, a leading digital marketplace revolutionizing how chefs source ingredients. This is a remote position where you will play a crucial role in connecting chefs with quality suppliers. As an Account Executive, your mission is to change how chefs order food and grow the accounts of gastronomy businesses already using our platform. You will be selling something genuinely different: a digital marketplace that allows chefs to order as close as possible to the source. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in the FoodTech industry and make a significant impact.
What You'll Do
- Introduce Saltz to chefs, restaurant owners, and F&B managers, convincing them to start placing orders using our platform.
- Own a portfolio of restaurant and other HoReCa accounts; your job is to grow them, not just maintain them.
- Visit clients regularly to understand their challenges and find where Saltz can do more for them.
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts by asking the right questions and listening carefully.
- Build relationships with chefs, GMs, and procurement teams so they think of you as a trusted advisor.
- Work closely with teams to turn client feedback into actionable input for the platform.
- Drive growth by keeping as many accounts as possible actively ordering.
- Represent Saltz at industry events, trade visits, and in-person meetings where your HoReCa credibility opens doors.
Requirements
- Experience selling food products (ingredients, supplies, or beverages) to restaurants, hotels, or other HoReCa clients.
- Understanding of food pricing, margins, and how chefs make buying decisions.
- A proven track record of growing existing accounts, not just closing new ones.
- Comfortable managing multiple demanding relationships simultaneously.
- Fluent Polish (C1) and good English skills.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with marketplaces, SaaS, or digital tools for the hospitality industry.
- Experience selling to hotel chains or multi-unit restaurant operators.
- An existing network in the local HoReCa market.
- Ability to speak other languages.
What We Offer
- Salary base for MID position: EUR 24,000 – 30,000 yearly gross; for Senior position: EUR 32,000 – 46,000 yearly gross.
- Commission on top of the base salary, uncapped.
- Commuting covered via business accounts (Bolt, Uber, Miles).
