VP Finance - Remote Opportunity at Joko

About the Role

We are seeking a VP Finance remote to join our innovative team at Joko. As a leader in the FinTech space, Joko is on a mission to revolutionize shopping and empower consumers to make informed decisions. With over 5 million users and a rapidly growing team, this is an exciting opportunity to shape the financial strategy of a company that is scaling globally.

What You'll Do

• Lead and scale the Finance team, managing and developing current Finance Managers while recruiting new talent to support our growth.
• Own the company’s financial strategy, driving financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting across all business lines and geographies.
• Serve as the financial voice at the leadership table, partnering with the COO and co-founders on strategic decisions.
• Drive investor relations, being the main touchpoint for investors and shareholders on all financial topics.
• Steer multi-country P&L management, ensuring compliance and effective cost allocation.
• Manage cash and working capital efficiently across multiple payment flows and currencies.
• Own financial reporting and controls, ensuring robust practices to prevent fraud and errors.
• Drive cost efficiency at scale, negotiating contracts and ensuring accountability for cost targets.
• Raise the bar on accounting practices, ensuring rigorous monthly closings and compliance with international standards.
• Leverage AI to transform finance operations, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency.
• Coordinate with external partners, managing relationships with accountants and auditors.

Requirements

• Fluency in English and French, with strong communication skills.
• 10+ years of experience in traditional finance and senior finance leadership roles in high-growth tech companies.
• Proven track record of leading finance teams and scaling companies from millions to hundreds of millions in revenue.
• Deep expertise in financial modeling and analysis.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Experience with multi-country financial operations and international tax considerations.
• Passion for leveraging AI in finance operations.
