Technical Sourcer for AGI Research - Remote Opportunity

Join us as a Technical Sourcer for AGI Research at Magic, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of artificial general intelligence (AGI). This Technical Sourcer position is a unique opportunity to work remotely while contributing to a mission that aims to accelerate humanity’s progress on critical global challenges. You will be at the forefront of building a team that is dedicated to advancing AGI through innovative research and engineering.

What You'll Do

• Build and manage robust pipelines of top technical talent across research, engineering, and infrastructure roles.
• Partner with hiring managers and recruiters to deeply understand role requirements and candidate profiles.
• Design and execute creative sourcing strategies for both high-volume and hard-to-fill roles.
• Leverage multiple sourcing channels (LinkedIn, GitHub, publications, conferences, communities, etc.) to identify exceptional candidates.
• Engage with candidates who have experience in AI, deep learning, and large language models.
• Develop outreach that authentically represents Magic’s mission and technical challenges.
• Track sourcing metrics and continuously optimize processes for speed and quality.

Requirements

• Strong technical fluency: you’ve either worked in a technical role yourself or can confidently assess technical talent.
• Deep sourcing expertise, with experience identifying and engaging technical candidates at scale.
• Familiarity with AI, machine learning, and ideally large language models.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to tell Magic’s story in an inspiring way.
• Proven ability to manage multiple searches simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities.
• Experience in a fast-paced startup or high-growth environment.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience recruiting for AI, ML, and niche technical roles.
• Hands-on familiarity with sourcing tools, data enrichment, and automation.
• Network within the AI or ML community.

• Annual salary range: $150K - $260K depending on experience.
