About the Role

We’re hiring a Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team at BM Caterers. This Kitchen Porter role is an excellent opportunity for those looking to start their career in the catering industry. You will work from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our kitchen environment.

What You'll Do

• Ensure the kitchen is kept clean, tidy, and hygienic.
• Disinfect surfaces, utensils, and tools regularly.
• Assist with basic food preparation and food storage.
• Support the kitchen team in delivering high-quality service.
• Follow procedures and instructions carefully to maintain safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain a neat and tidy appearance while on duty.
• Demonstrate a helpful attitude and a flexible approach to work.

Requirements

• Experience working in a food environment is preferred.
• Food Safety Level 2 certification is a plus.
• Good awareness of health and safety regulations, including COSHH.
• Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and a reliable work ethic.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter or in a similar role.
• Basic culinary skills or knowledge of food preparation.
