Hardware Installation Engineer - Remote Opportunity with IBA
About the Role
Join IBA as a Hardware Installation Engineer in Valencia, Spain, and contribute to the future of cancer treatment through advanced proton therapy. This remote opportunity allows you to be part of a dedicated team that is making a real difference in medical innovation and patient care.
What You'll Do
- Participate in the installation of IBA equipment on the Proton Therapy site, gaining broad exposure across all electro-mechanical sub-systems (cyclotron, gantry, power supply cabinets, electrical wiring, patient positioning equipment, etc.).
- Test, calibrate, and validate the equipment according to specifications, ensuring compliance, quality, technical performance, and timing.
- Critically analyze data to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
- Collaborate intensively during the installation and commissioning phase with subcontractors to supervise the installation until the equipment starts up.
- Ensure the highest quality of state-of-the-art technologies and services.
Requirements
- Qualifications in electro-mechanical engineering or equivalent experience.
- Sound experience in electrical cabling & systems troubleshooting and mechanical systems installation.
- Technical knowledge of cooling systems, vacuum systems, electronic control units, drivers, sensors, electric motors, high and low voltage equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex systems and work autonomously on well-defined tasks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Spanish is an asset.

- Knowledge of local EHS regulations.
- Conscientious and organized, able to provide good quality reporting.
- Analytical with good troubleshooting skills, able to identify root causes of issues.
