Technical Program Manager - Security Focus (Remote)
About the Role
We are looking for a Technical Program Manager (Security) to join our team remotely. In this role, you will bridge the gap between incident response and the strategic security roadmap, ensuring that our security measures are robust and effective. As a Technical Program Manager (Security) remote, you will be instrumental in orchestrating security incidents and driving the technical execution of our long-term security initiatives.
What You’ll Do
- Orchestrate the end-to-end lifecycle of security incidents, ensuring effective detection, triage, and remediation.
- Act as the primary communication bridge between technical responders and executive leadership, translating complex technical data into actionable updates.
- Optimize scalable response playbooks to standardize the organization’s handling of evolving threats.
- Lead post-mortem retrospectives to identify systemic gaps and implement long-term preventative measures.
- Drive the program lifecycle for technical security initiatives, from requirements gathering to deployment and post-launch support.
- Translate business needs into clear technical requirements for engineering teams.
- Partner with Security Leadership to ensure initiatives are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
- Identify and mitigate trade-offs, managing technical debt to ensure scalable security solutions.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in technical program management or related roles.
- Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
- On-call availability for incident response.
- Understanding of security principles and technologies, with proficiency in Agile methodologies and tools like Jira or Rally.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Preferred certifications include Agile (e.g., CSM, SAFe) and experience with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or SOC 2.
