Technical Buyer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated Technical Buyer to join our team remotely. In this role, you will actively shape technical innovations and take responsibility in a dynamic environment. As a Technical Buyer, you will serve as a central interface between development, manufacturing, and suppliers, ensuring that our procurement processes are efficient and effective.

What You'll Do

• Engage in interdisciplinary teamwork during product development, collaborating with R&D, manufacturing, and quality management.
• Conduct supplier selection, evaluation, and qualification, including performing audits.
• Analyze and monitor relevant procurement markets to inform purchasing decisions.
• Implement category strategies to optimize procurement processes.
• Prepare requests for proposals, tenders, and price comparisons.
• Negotiate prices and terms, ensuring favorable conditions for the company.
• Draft contracts in close coordination with our legal department.

Requirements

• Completed higher technical education (e.g., HTL, FH, TU) with a commercial understanding.
• Initial professional experience in purchasing is advantageous.
• Confident and open demeanor with strong communication skills.
• Structured and precise working style with analytical thinking.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to travel for supplier and trade fair visits.

Nice to Have

• Experience in electronic and electromechanical components procurement.
• Familiarity with semiconductor components, transformers, and connection technology.
