Tax Planner - Remote Position at Weblife

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Tax Planner remote to join our innovative team at Weblife. As a Tax Planner remote, you will play a crucial role in managing US federal income tax compliance and planning for our diverse portfolio of eCommerce brands.

What You'll Do

• Oversee and manage all aspects of US federal income tax compliance and planning for Weblife and its portfolio of businesses.
• Prepare and review federal tax returns, ensuring compliance with US tax laws and regulations.
• Conduct tax research and analysis to identify opportunities for tax savings and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with the finance team to integrate tax considerations into financial planning and reporting.
• Stay updated on changes in US federal tax laws and regulations to ensure timely compliance.
• Provide support during tax audits and liaise with tax authorities as needed.
• Develop and maintain documentation for tax strategies, policies, and procedures.
• Assist with state-level tax compliance and planning as needed, with a focus on California (if applicable).

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent qualification is strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in US federal income tax planning and compliance.
• Solid understanding of US federal tax laws, regulations, and filing requirements.
• Proficiency in tax preparation and accounting software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Experience with California state income tax is a plus but not mandatory.
