Systems Engineer - Robotics Deployment (Remote)

About the Role

Join Amazon's Robotics Delivery & Packaging Innovations (RDPI) Technology Deployment team as a Systems Engineer - Robotics Deployment (Remote). In this role, you will be responsible for deploying industrial robotics across North America's fulfillment network, ensuring the integration of cutting-edge technologies that enhance operational efficiency.

What You'll Do

• Oversee large-scale project planning, installation, and launch of industrial automation technologies across Amazon's growing Stores network.
• Deploy robotic equipment, including mechanical and electrical systems, network configurations, and software coordination.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware engineering, technical program managers, product managers, and internal operations teams.
• Manage project schedules and budgets, ensuring timely delivery of projects.
• Travel to various project sites across North America, upwards of 75% of the time, to oversee installations and ensure alignment with business stakeholders.
• Develop and implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance project execution and efficiency.
• Provide technical oversight on the installation of Amazon-designed automation equipment.
• Lead teams of engineers on projects, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent STEM field.
• 1+ years of electrical or mechanical experience.
• Experience in data analysis and the ability to interpret data for decision-making.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for technical systems and network management.
• Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments while meeting deadlines.
• Familiarity with standard software including Excel, Access, Oracle, SQL, and VBA.
• 1+ years of experience with technical drawings and/or CAD models.

Nice to Have

• 2+ years of experience in electrical theory, robotics, and automated equipment.
• Experience with networking fundamentals or Internet protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, SSL, DNS, HTTP/S.
• Certifications in OSHA, ANSI, or other Automation Safety Certifications.
• Familiarity with LEAN or Six Sigma methodologies.
