Systems Engineer II - Data Analytics Engineer (Onsite)

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Systems Engineer II - Data Analytics Engineer to join our team at Raytheon. This position is based in Tucson, Arizona, and is an onsite role where you will play a crucial part in gathering, transforming, and organizing data for effective use by multiple program stakeholders. As a Systems Engineer II - Data Analytics Engineer, you will analyze and visualize large data sets to characterize the behavior of complex systems and aid in achieving system performance objectives.

What You'll Do

• Utilize your advanced knowledge of data structures and visualization techniques to support the development and execution of complex program objectives.
• Engage with various missile programs to assess performance against requirements.
• Support design reviews, peer reviews, and technical briefings to teams both within and outside your discipline.
• Modify simulations and tools for the design, development, prototyping, integration, testing, and performance assessment of signal processing algorithms and models.
• Collaborate with adjacent engineering disciplines such as Guidance, Navigation, and Control; Software Engineering; or Systems Engineering.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in MATLAB and/or Python for data analysis and visualization.
• Experience with statistical analysis, modeling (regression, fitting, machine learning), and data presentation.
• Ability to obtain an Interim Secret U.S. government issued Security Clearance prior to start date.
• U.S. citizenship is required for eligibility for security clearance.

Nice to Have

• Advanced Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or Math.
• Strong communication skills for presenting analysis to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with signal processing techniques or algorithm development.
• Familiarity with SQL and relational databases.
• Experience using version control tools such as Azure DevOps and Git.
• Knowledge of scripting in a Unix environment (Bash/C Shell scripting).
