System & Support Engineer - Hybrid Role at Market Securities

About the Role

Market Securities is expanding its Madrid office and is seeking a System & Support Engineer to join the IT team. This System & Support Engineer remote position is a hybrid role combining hands-on infrastructure management with end-user support, designed to serve as the primary IT resource for the Madrid office while contributing to the firm's global IT operations.

What You'll Do

• Manage and maintain the local server environment, including Windows Server 2019/2022 and virtualization platforms (VMware ESXi / vCenter).
• Oversee storage systems, Veeam backup and replication, ensuring business continuity through regular recovery testing.
• Monitor infrastructure health, system performance, and capacity planning to ensure high availability.
• Act as the first point of contact for all IT support needs in the Madrid office, covering hardware, software, connectivity, and business applications.
• Manage and troubleshoot Microsoft 365, Intune, Teams, and SharePoint Online.
• Address and resolve incidents via the IT ticketing system (Freshservice), following ITSM procedures and SLA commitments.
• Manage and monitor Trend Micro Cloud endpoint security across all Madrid user devices, ensuring protection, updates, and compliance.
• Support CNMV and local regulatory compliance requirements from an IT perspective.

Requirements

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a combined systems engineering and IT support role.
• Proven hands-on experience with Windows Server (2019/2022/2025), VMware (ESXi, vCenter), and storage management.
• Solid background in Microsoft 365 administration, Intune, and Entra ID.
• Experience managing endpoint protection platforms (Trend Micro Cloud One / Vision One preferred).
• Proficiency in scripting and automation: PowerShell preferred; Python or equivalent accepted.

Nice to Have

• Prior experience in a financial services, brokerage, or trading environment is a strong advantage.
• Certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator or Azure Administrator Associate.
• VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE).
