About the Role

Grafana Labs is seeking a talented Staff Software Engineer to join our team focused on Grafana Cloud Observability and Kubernetes Monitoring. This is a unique opportunity to work remotely from Spain and contribute to innovative solutions that enhance cloud observability for our clients. As a Staff Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing scalable systems that support our observability platform.

What You'll Do

• Lead the development of features for Grafana Cloud Observability, ensuring high performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement new monitoring capabilities for Kubernetes.
• Architect and optimize backend services to handle large-scale data processing.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to enhance team capabilities.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of our engineering practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on cloud technologies.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Go, Python, or Java.
• Experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native architectures.
• Familiarity with observability tools and practices, including monitoring, logging, and tracing.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Grafana and related technologies.
• Knowledge of distributed systems and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
