We are seeking a talented Mid Data Engineer to join our innovative team at RoomPriceGenie. This remote Mid Data Engineer position is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our mission of helping hoteliers optimize their pricing strategies. As a Mid Data Engineer, you will work at the intersection of software engineering, data analytics, and business impact, ensuring that our data pipelines are robust and reliable.

What You'll Do

• Design and build scalable data pipelines using our modern stack (Snowflake, Dagster, dbt) and take them from idea to production.
• Modernize legacy Django/Celery pipelines to improve data flow and efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Analytics, and Engineering teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Champion data quality through rigorous testing, observability, and documentation.
• Own the full lifecycle of data pipelines, ensuring they meet the needs of multiple stakeholders.

Requirements

• 2-4 years of professional experience in Python, particularly in data engineering and backend systems.
• Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines in production environments, preferably on cloud data warehouses like Snowflake or Databricks.
• Solid understanding of data modeling concepts and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with orchestrated data pipelines using tools like Dagster or Airflow.
• Experience with Python web frameworks such as Django or FastAPI.

Nice to Have

• Hands-on experience with dbt for modeling and testing.
• Experience with Celery and RabbitMQ.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL and cloud infrastructure, especially AWS.
