This is a fully remote opportunity where you will be instrumental in evolving the architecture of our backend systems. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our technical roadmap and enhancing our platform's capabilities.

What You'll Do

• Own the architecture of critical backend components, ensuring design integrity and technical debt management.
• Lead the planning and execution of architecture changes that enhance scalability, reliability, and developer productivity.
• Champion the adoption of AI-assisted software engineering practices to improve development efficiency.
• Mentor and guide senior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of architectural excellence.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on architectural direction and standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, particularly in backend development.
• Strong proficiency in Java and SQL, with a proven track record in building large-scale backend systems.
• Experience in leading architectural refactoring and modernization initiatives.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code frameworks such as Terraform.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot.
• Knowledge of cloud-native architectures and emerging AI capabilities.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively.
