Staff Mobile Engineer - React Native Focus

About the Role

We are seeking a Staff Mobile Engineer to join our innovative team at Finary. As a Staff Mobile Engineer remote, you will play a crucial role in building and shipping features that impact over 850,000 users on our mobile applications. This position allows you to work in a modern, AI-native engineering environment, utilizing technologies like React Native and Expo.

What You'll Do

• Build and ship delightful features end-to-end on Finary’s mobile apps.
• Contribute to mobile architecture decisions, defining how the mobile platform evolves.
• Collaborate closely with backend engineers to define API contracts and optimize mobile-specific data flows.
• Partner with product managers and designers to deliver polished, performant mobile experiences.
• Leverage AI tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex to enhance your productivity.
• Raise the bar on mobile performance, reliability, and developer experience.

Requirements

• Strong expertise in React Native with Expo (mandatory).
• Native iOS/Android development experience is a strong plus.
• Solid understanding of backend systems and computer science fundamentals.
• Deep understanding of mobile-specific challenges including performance and offline handling.
• Experience using AI tools to enhance productivity.
• Staff level preferred: ability to mentor peers and drive technical direction.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Nice to Have

• Experience with native iOS (Swift) or Android (Kotlin) development.
• Background in fintech or personal finance mobile applications.
