Staff Embedded Software Engineer - Remote Opportunity
About the Role
We are seeking a Staff Embedded Software Engineer to join our innovative team at Anduril Industries. As a Staff Embedded Software Engineer, you will develop software across the entire hardware and software stack, contributing to the design and implementation of embedded systems that are crucial for national security.
What You’ll Do
- Develop software for fully custom embedded systems, working at all levels of the hardware/software stack, from firmware to GUI frameworks.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely delivery of software solutions.
- Maintain and update existing software systems, ensuring high performance and reliability.
- Provide technical leadership and contribute to software designs, estimates, and schedules.
- Adhere to software best practices, including coding standards and testing protocols.
- Triage issues and investigate root cause failures, reporting to the overall software lead.
- Coordinate with other software team leads and external teams as necessary.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in software development, with at least 7 years in bare metal and driver development.
- B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, focusing on embedded software systems.
- Experience with Xilinx platforms and constrained development environments.
- Ability to build low-level embedded software solutions, including hardware integration.
- Active U.S. Top Secret SCI security clearance is required.
Nice to Have
- M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 15+ years of experience building top-to-bottom, full-stack solutions.
- Experience with C# application development or frontend React-based UI frameworks.
- Strong focus on security and experience with complex SoCs.
