Software Internship - Location Data Technology

About the Role

We are excited to offer a Software Internship opportunity at HERE Technologies, where you will work on innovative location and spatial data technology. This internship will allow you to contribute to real-world projects and applications, including Location Services and Platform Experience. As a Software Intern, you will be involved in cutting-edge projects like connected driving, automated driving, fleet management, and supply chain solutions.

What You'll Do

• Engage in projects related to advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and dynamic content offerings such as real-time traffic and weather updates.
• Work with UniMap, a highly automated mapping system that enhances our classical map-making approach.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of high-definition (HD) maps.
• Utilize programming skills in Java or Scala to support various projects.
• Participate in test automation processes using Java.
• Document and present your work effectively within the team.
• Collaborate with a tech team to strengthen your software development skills.
• Embrace learning opportunities and contribute to research initiatives.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Computer Science, GIScience, Geoinformatik, or Engineering program.
• Familiarity with programming in Java or Scala.
• Experience in test automation and data science is a plus.
• Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written; Polish is a bonus.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Ability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week.
